This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on www.minetrans.co.za, what each one is for, and how you control them. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
MineTrans Insurance Brokers is a division of Donaldson Advisory Group, an authorised financial services provider, FSP No. 53166. Donaldson Advisory Group is the responsible party for personal information processed through this site, and its Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This site also uses your browser's local storage, which works in much the same way. Both are covered by this policy and referred to here as cookies.
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is set until you choose. When you first arrive, a banner asks for your consent, with accepting and refusing offered equally. Your choice is recorded and applied on every page after that.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason and without any effect on the service you receive:
Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already took place while consent was in force. Clearing your browser's site data also erases your recorded choice, so the banner will ask again.
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They set no advertising identifiers and are not used to profile you.

Set only with your consent. Tags are delivered through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MZTBRWHT). Until you consent, Google Consent Mode holds these tags and advertising identifiers are redacted from any request.
Depending on the tags configured in the container, consenting to analytics may set Google
Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>, which measure which pages
are read and how visitors arrive. Consenting to marketing may set Google advertising cookies
such as _gcl_au, which measure whether an advert led to an enquiry and allow relevant
campaigns to be shown elsewhere. These are third-party cookies set by Google, and Google may process
the data outside South Africa.
